The IPAF Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) course is aimed at individuals involved in the handling, maintenance, and operation of powered access equipment. This includes:

1. Equipment Inspectors: Those responsible for performing inspections before equipment delivery.
2. Maintenance Personnel: Technicians and maintenance staff who ensure the safety and reliability of powered access machinery.
3. Rental Company Staff: Employees working for rental companies who need to ensure equipment is safe and compliant before it is rented out.
4. Safety Managers: Individuals in charge of workplace safety who need to understand inspection protocols and compliance.

This is a classroom-based course, including both theory and practical elements delivered in the same session.

This course is a half day course

Delivered in person by one of our experienced instructors.

• A short written test covering theoretical and legislative knowledge

• A practical assessment using PAT testing equipment and procedures

We provide all required PAT testing equipment and sample tools for the practical session.

All course materials, including handouts, slides, and relevant literature, are included.

Participants should have a basic understanding of electrical principles and safety. While no formal qualifications are required, prior experience in facilities, maintenance, or electrical work is helpful. A willingness to engage in practical exercises is essential.

No specialist PPE is required beyond eye protection, which will be provided.

Successful participants will receive a UK Industries Training In-House Certificate, valid for 3 years.
