Instructor-led course delivered on your site using your lifting equipment and materials.

The IPAF Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) course is typically assessed through a combination of practical evaluations and theoretical tests. Participants must demonstrate their ability to perform a comprehensive pre-delivery inspection on powered access equipment during practical sessions. Additionally, there may be a written assessment that tests knowledge of regulatory requirements, inspection procedures, and safety protocols. Successful completion of these assessments is required to earn the certification.

• A suitable classroom space free from interruptions

• A quiet, designated area with access to an overhead crane for practical training

• Lifting accessories and slings (with valid LOLER certification)

• A projector or screen for theory presentation

• Standard loads from your workplace for practical exercises

Please note: training will not proceed in unsuitable environments such as busy canteens or disrupted spaces. The instructor reserves the right to cancel the session if conditions are not safe or appropriate.

• Appropriate space and loads for lifting exercises

Successful candidates will receive a UK Industries Training In-House Certificate, valid for 3 years.
