WHAT IS CAP?
CAP stands for ‘competent assessed
person’. The CAP programme is an
advanced level of assessment leading to
certification that engineers are proficient in
undertaking MEWP statutory inspections to
the highest specification, as stipulated by
ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
Experienced engineers from IPAF-approved
training centres provide guidance through
presentations. There is also a technical
theory examination and a practical
assessment for each category of MEWP
that the candidate wishes to qualify for.
WHO IS THE CAP PROGRAMME FOR?
MEWP engineers wishing to competently conduct a thorough examination. Candidates need to hold a valid PAL Card.
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES RECEIVE:
Documentary evidence (a certificate and a CAP Card) to prove they are qualified to plan, manage or conduct thorough examinations of MEWPs in line with LOLER, Work at Height Regulations, and PUWER 98 legislation.
