• 7-hour classroom-based course

• Typically starts at 7:30am – please arrive at least 15 minutes early to allow for booking-in and settling

• Primarily theory-based

• Focuses on essential health and safety information, including regulations and safe working practices

The course content includes:

• Health and safety legislation

• Risk assessment procedures

• Common workplace hazards

• Safe lifting techniques

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

• Fire safety

• Emergency procedures

Classroom-based delivery led by qualified instructors

• Includes a test or assessment at the end of the course

• Assesses understanding of key health and safety principles

• Successful completion is required to receive certification

• No PPE required

• Training delivered in a classroom setting

• Must be at least 16 years old

• Basic understanding of English

• No prior construction experience or qualifications required

Participants should bring:

• A notepad and pen (available free of charge if needed)

• Personal identification (if requested by the training provider)

• Any personal questions or topics of interest for discussion

• Upon successful completion, delegates receive a CITB Health and Safety Awareness certificate

• This certification demonstrates knowledge of core health and safety practices in the construction industry
