In many countries, employers are legally required to train anyone who plans, supervises, or manages work at height, including the use of access equipment.

At the end of the MEWPs for Managers Course, participants must complete a test or assessment to evaluate their understanding of the course content. Successful completion of this assessment is required to receive the official IPAF course certification.

To successfully deliver the IPAF MEWPs for Managers Course, a classroom equipped with audiovisual tools is required to support the theoretical instruction and presentation of course materials.

The IPAF MEWPs for Managers Course is delivered in English, and all course materials, including instruction manuals and exam paperwork, are also in English. Delegates must therefore have a good level of English reading and writing ability to successfully complete the course and assessment.

No equipment is needed for this course.

The IPAF MEWPs for Managers Course is focused on planning, supervising, and managing the safe use of MEWPs—it does not involve operating equipment. The course concludes with a written theory test, which candidates must pass to successfully complete the training.

Upon passing the test, participants will receive an IPAF certificate. Those who already hold a valid Powered Access Licence (PAL Card) for operating equipment can have the MEWPs for Managers (MM) category added to their existing PAL Card.
